16, 19 and 22 January 2027, London, Another Music Festival

Violinist Roman Mints together an international ensemble for the second Another Music Festival, Politics, with three concerts on 16, 19 and 22 January 2027.

Should music be above politics? This year’s festival explores how composers have responded to war, revolution, oppression and the struggle for freedom. Across centuries, their responses have taken many forms, from mourning and protest to biting satire.

The programme brings together works by Liszt, Chopin, Schoenberg, Ravel and Messiaen, alongside lesser-known pieces and political cabaret songs. Highlights include Schoenberg’s Ode to Napoleon, Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time, and a premiere of Victoria Poleva’s Verbum.

Another Music Festival is independent and relies on sponsorship, donations and ticket sales. Your support will help cover the practical costs of bringing these concerts to life, including instrument hire, rehearsal spaces, programme printing and publicity.

Please help us make the second Another Music Festival possible!
